Ten Scriptures About Fearing God

You cannot claim to be a christian if you don't have the fear of God in you, only some unbelievers and some non-christians do not have the fear of God but they fail to understand that there is a consequence for not fearing God, and there is also a reward for fearing God(fearing God is part of honoring God). Now, let's check what the scripture says about the fear of God:

The fear of the Lord is the best part of wisdom: all those who keep his laws are wise: his praise is eternal. - Psalm 111: 10.

Better is a little with the fear of the Lord, than great wealth together with trouble. - Proverbs 15: 16.

This is the last word. All has been said. Have fear of God and keep his laws; because this is right for every man. - Ecclesiastes 12: 13.

If only they had such a heart in them at all times, so that they might go in fear of me and keep my orders and that it might be well for them and for their children for ever! - Deuteronomy 5: 29.

What man is there who will not have fear before you, O Lord, and give glory to your name? because you only are holy; for all the nations will come and give worship before you; for your righteousness has been made clear. - Revelation 15: 4.

Then keep the orders of the Lord your God, fearing him and walking in his ways. - Deuteronomy 8: 6.

Because much talk comes from dreams and things of no purpose. But let the fear of God be in you. - Ecclesiastes 5: 7.

And have no fear of those who put to death the body, but are not able to put to death the soul. But have fear of him who has power to give soul and body to destruction in hell. - Matthew 10: 28.

Because God, then, will give us such rewards, dear brothers, let us make ourselves clean from all evil of flesh and spirit, and become completely holy in the fear of God. - 2 Corinthians 7: 1.

And he said to man, Truly the fear of the Lord is wisdom, and to keep from evil is the way to knowledge. - Job 28: 28.
