Scripture For The Day - Matthew 7:1 (What it Means to Judge People)

Scripture For The Day - Matthew 7:1

Judge not, that ye be not judged. - KJV

Do not judge and criticize and condemn others, so that you may not be judged and criticized and condemned yourselves. - AMPC

Don’t judge others, and God will not judge you. - ERV

Jesus spoke in parables in verse 3&4 which literally means that Jesus was talking about hypocrites.
Matthew 7: 3. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?  4. Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5. Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. - KJV

Which means that you should not try to correct others if you also do the same thing that they did. For example: You should not condemn someone who takes alcoholic drinks when you also take alcoholic drinks.
Verse 4 and 5 made us to understand that before you can correct someone taking alcohol, then you must first stop taking it since a blind man cannot lead another blind man or else they will both fall into a pit.

Verse 1&2 I just to says that if you judge or condemn people because of their sins and you are also doing similar thing, then you will also be condemned/judged by God.
